SLITTER KNIVES
Our extensive experience in outfitting a wide variety of slitter lines allows us to provide a valuable service to your company. We work with you to design, develop and improve your cutting tools for each specific application and all machine types.
Within its product line, ALFE offers tooling made of medium-alloy steel, high chromium steel, high-speed steel, etc., as well as tooling with titanium nitride coatings, titanium carbonitride coatings, and others, which yield greater wear resistance.

STRIPPER RINGS
We supply stripper rings and rubber-bonded spacers made of highly wear-resistant alloy steels that are core hardened and covered in nitrile, polyurethane, or related materials with different hardness properties, depending on the material to be cut and its thickness.
We have considerable experience in designing male/female tooling as complete sets, which allows us to determine the diameters for both pieces in order to make it easier to eject and minimize the problem of material marking. These components can be made in different colors for greater convenience.
Our stripper rings can be held to the same dimensional tolerance requirements as knives.

METAL AND NYLON SPACERS WITH INSERTS
We offer our spacers made from tempered alloy steel, which is highly wear resistant and manufactured to strict tolerances to ensure perfect set-up, and with it, the maximum blade performance and the highest quality cut.
We offer the option to manufacture and supply emptied spacers to make set-up easier for your personnel.
In addition, as an alternative to the above, we also make nylon spacers with metal inserts, offering even lower weight while preserving good mechanical and tolerance characteristics.

ASSEMBLED QUILLS
Our quills are pre-assembled sets of slitting knives, metal spacers and rubber-bonded spacers. Their main application is to cut large volumes of thin, constant-width strapping.
The quill assembly remains a single unit from the time it is set up, during subsequent sharpening and until the end of its cutting life.
